37
What is the production efficiency of aluminum die casting?
Die casting is highly automated, with short cycle time, making it ideal for high-volume orders of 10,000+ pieces.
38
Can you do secondary machining on die cast parts?
Yes, we provide full CNC machining, drilling, tapping, milling, and reaming after die casting.
39
Do you make moulds for aluminum alloy die casting in-house?
Yes, we have an in-house mold workshop to design, process, and maintain die casting molds.
40
What is your maximum casting size for die casting?
We can produce die cast parts from a few grams up to 10kg or larger based on mold and machine capacity.
41
What products are suitable for aluminium alloy die cast?
Automotive parts, motor housings, pump bodies, valve parts, electronic housings, heat sinks, lighting fixtures, and structural components.
42
What is the difference between aluminum alloy die casting and general casting?
Die casting offers higher precision, smoother surface, higher production efficiency, and better consistency for mass production.
43
What is aluminum alloy die casting?
Aluminum alloy die casting injects molten aluminum alloy into a steel mold at high pressure and speed to achieve high precision and high efficiency.
44
Is aluminum 6061 wrought or cast?
6061 aluminum is a classic wrought aluminum alloy, not a casting alloy. Wrought alloys are shaped by rolling, extrusion, forging, or stamping — not pouring molten metal into molds. 6061 has excellent formability, machinability, and weldability but very poor castability. Casting-grade aluminum uses entirely different chemical compositions (high silicon) and is labeled separately (A356, ADC12, etc.).
45
Can aluminium be used for casting?
Yes, aluminum is one of the most widely used metals for casting globally. Its low melting point (660°C), light weight, good fluidity, and recyclability make it ideal for casting. Aluminum casting accounts for over 25% of global non-ferrous casting output. It is used in automotive parts, electronics housings, engine components, heat sinks, lighting, and industrial machinery. Casting processes include high-pressure die casting, gravity casting, sand casting, and low-pressure casting.
46
Which is better, 6061 or 7075 aluminum?
It depends entirely on the application — they serve different purposes.
6061 Aluminum
- Medium strength, good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability and machinability
- T6 tensile strength: 310 MPa / 276 MPa yield
- Cost-effective, versatile
- Best for structural frames, brackets, tubes, machining parts
7075 Aluminum
- Ultra-high strength (572 MPa tensile, T6), top-tier aluminum alloy
- Poor corrosion resistance, not weldable
- Used in aerospace, high-stress components, aircraft parts
Summary: For general engineering, machining, welding, cost: 6061 is better; For maximum strength, aerospace, high load: 7075 is better. Neither is designed for casting.

What is aluminum alloy for casting?
An aluminum casting alloy is a specially formulated aluminum-based material optimized for molten casting processes. Key characteristics include:
- High silicon content (typically 5–13%) to improve melt fluidity
- Low shrinkage and reduced porosity
- Good mold-filling ability
- Stable casting performance at 660–720°C
- Balanced strength, ductility, and machinability
Common standard casting alloys: ADC10, ADC12, A356, A357, A380, AlSi9Cu3, AlSi12. These are completely different from wrought alloys like 6061 and 7075.
48
Is aluminum alloy forged or cast?
Aluminum alloys can be both cast and forged, depending on the alloy grade and manufacturing process.
- Cast aluminum alloys: Designed for casting processes; high silicon content for fluidity; examples: ADC12, A356, A380. Advantages: complex shapes, low tooling cost, mass production.
- Wrought aluminum alloys: Used for forging, extrusion, rolling; examples: 6061, 7075, 5052, 6063. Forged aluminum has higher density, better fatigue resistance, and tighter tolerances.
In short: Casting = shape complexity & cost efficiency; Forging = higher strength & structural integrity.
The company was founded in 2016, is a zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, copper casting, scientific research, development, production, sales as one of the professional custom cast aluminum parts manufacturers and enterprises.
